Welcome to our selection of the best laptops of 2022. Lately, we’ve welcomed some brilliant laptops from brands like Apple, Dell, and HP. On this page you will find the best of the best.
However, you won’t just find the most powerful (and expensive) laptops in this list. It also contains great budget laptops, Chromebooks and cool gaming laptops. There is a beautiful product in every price range.
The very best laptop you can get right now? That’s definitely the MacBook Air (M1, 2020). Apple has equipped its laptops with a hefty load of powerful hardware, of which its own M1 chip is the shining centerpiece. This chipset ensures unprecedented performance, and that wrapped in a sleek and lightweight design for a (by Apple standards) competitive price.
This list is constantly being updated and equipped with new laptops. Choosing the best laptop for yourself is often a difficult task. Everyone has different wishes and requirements. For example, one person only uses his or her laptop at work for simple tasks, while the other performs graphically intensive tasks at home. Aspects such as battery life, quality of the housing, display and keyboard can also count heavily.
It’s now time to check out the best laptops of the moment. Below we have made our top selection for you. Best laptops of 2022

The Apple MacBook Air (M1, 2020) is not only the best laptop Apple has ever made, it’s also the best laptop on sale right now. This is the first time a MacBook has topped our list of best laptops, but the MacBook Air (M1, 2020) deserves this spot.
Thanks to the revolutionary ARM-based Apple M1 chip that powers the new MacBook Air, we get a stunning result: a thin and light laptop that delivers great performance even with 4K video editing, while also having incredible battery life. Since it lasts eleven hours on a single charge, this is a laptop that you can easily take with you at work or school.
The price is also incredibly competitive compared to Windows 10 laptops. In addition to both new and old Mac applications, the new MacBook Air can now also run iOS applications for iPhone and iPad, giving it access to hundreds of mobile applications and games.
Even if you’ve only used Windows laptops, the MacBook Air (M1, 2020) is definitely worth the jump to macOS. You can also opt for the slightly more luxuriously equipped MacBook Pro (M1, 2020), but you also pay a little extra for that.

While Apple blew us away with the M1 MacBook Air, archrival Microsoft is also impressing with the Surface Laptop 4. As with previous Surface devices, build quality and design are among the best on the market. The beautiful PixelSense touchscreen is also a feast for the eyes and pleasant to use (it is also something we still have not seen with an Apple laptop).
Furthermore, the Surface Laptop 4 is equipped with a brilliant keyboard that ticks away nicely. The hardware under the hood also performs well, ensuring that Windows 10 and all your favorite apps run smoothly. The battery life is also impressive: in our tests, the Surface Laptop 4 lasts 13 hours. The prize is also competitive. If you’re looking for a strong Windows laptop, you can’t ignore the Microsoft Surface Laptop 4.

3. Apple MacBook Pro 14 inch (2021)
The best laptop of 2021 for productivitySpecifications

GPU: Integrated 14-core / 32-core GPU

-Overkill for regular users
The all-new MacBook Pro 14-inch (2021) is easily one of the best laptops for productivity you can buy right now. For creative professionals such as photographers, video editors, and music products, this MacBook is a joy to use. That’s largely due to the powerful M1 Pro-M1 Max chipset that sits under the hood, and is capable of performing incredibly heavy tasks with ease.
In addition, there is a beautiful Liquid Retina XDR display with mini-LED technology incorporated into this MacBook. In our opinion, this is the best screen you can currently find on the laptop market. Add to that a 1080p webcam and more built-in ports (than on the previous models), and you have a true productivity monster. However, it is certainly not for everyone: all this power comes with a hefty price, so it is quickly seen as too expensive for regular users. This group is better off with the MacBook Air (M1, 2020).

The HP Spectre x360 has been one of the best laptops you can buy for some time, and that same theory holds true for the 2021 model. This new version is equipped with the 11th generation Intel Core processors. These chips offer a solid boost in performance, and thanks to the Intel Iris Xe graphics, it is also an improvement on graphics compared to the HP Spectre x360 (2020).
The handy 2-in-1 design and rock-solid housing have been retained, which ensures that the HP Spectre x360 (2021) is also one of the most beautiful laptops on the market. In terms of build quality, only the MacBook Air (M1, 2020) comes close, which is at the very top of our list.
While it’s certainly pricey, you get some excellent extras, such as formidable security features and Bang & Olufsen speakers. If you value aesthetics as much as you value performance and overall quality, this is the laptop for you.

The Dell XPS 13 has been a fixture on the list of our best laptops for years, and the 2020 version deserves another high spot. It preserves everything we’ve come to love, from the beautiful and light design, to the powerful modern components that drive it. The Dell XPS 13 now also includes 10th Generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processors and an ‘Infinity Edge’ display, meaning the Dell XPS 13 (2020) is a brilliant workhorse while remaining thin and light.
Plus, there’s a wide range of configurations, so you can customize the Dell XPS 13 to your needs. The 2020 model refines the XPS 13’s existing brilliant design, but the cost is still high. While this is easily one of the best laptops in the world right now, it’s also one of the most expensive.
